This visa is designed specifically for students like you who are ready to start their study abroad journey in Belgium. Key Steps for the Belgian Student Visa
 Here’s what Pakistani students need to do to obtain a student visa for studying in Belgium:

You must complete the application forms and visit the Embassy of Belgium in Pakistan to submit your application in person. During your visit, you will need to provide the required documents, have your biometrics taken, and possibly attend an interview.

Pakistani students will be required to provide biometrics as part of the visa application process. Biometrics include additional identification measures such as fingerprints and photos, which are used for security purposes by countries.

You may also be asked to attend a visa interview during the application process.

The D visa (national long-stay visa) for Belgium is valid for up to 90 days. To stay for the duration of your degree program, you may need to renew your visa annually. If you plan to stay in Belgium after completing your degree, you will need to apply for a different visa or a visa renewal through the immigration office.

What is the cost of the student visa?

The application fee for the Belgian D visa (national long-stay visa) is 180 EUR. Depending on your circumstances, Belgian authorities may allow you to pay this fee online, at a visa application center in Pakistan, or via bank transfer.

Additionally, an administrative fee of 208 EUR applies, or 201 EUR if you are studying at a private higher educational institution.

Pakistani students are not required to obtain health insurance for the Belgian visa.

What documents are required for my student visa?

When applying for your visa, one of the key requirements is to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your studies. You must provide proof of funds amounting to 670 EUR per month.

Pakistani students are not required to prove their English proficiency to study at an international university in Belgium. However, it’s important to have the necessary language skills to succeed in your courses and navigate life in Belgium.

Pakistani students must undergo a medical examination before arriving in Belgium.

There is no need for Pakistani students to set up a Restricted Bank Account, which limits the amount of money you can withdraw each month and only allows access once you’re in Belgium.

Visa processing times may be longer during peak periods (such as summer months or holiday seasons), so it’s advisable to apply well in advance.
