Main steps to take for the Italian student visa

Here is what Pakistani students have to do to get a student visa that will allow them to study in Italy:

You must apply at the Italian embassy in Islamabad or at the Italian consulate in Karachi.

Pakistani students maybe have to provide biometrics during the visa application process. Your biometrics are, basically, extra identification (e.g. fingerprinting and pictures) that countries use for security purposes.

You won't have to attend a visa interview during the application process.

The D National Visa from Italy is valid for more than 90 days. So that you can stay during your entire degree programme, you may need to renew your visa every year. If you want to stay in Italy after your degree is over, you will have to apply for a different visa, or a visa renewal through the immigration office.

How much will I have to pay for the student visa?

To apply for the Italian D National Visa , you will also have to pay a fee of 50 EUR. Depending on your situation, Italian authorities will allow you to pay this fee online, on location at a visa application centre in Pakistan, or through a bank transfer.

Pakistani students will need to get health insurance for the Italian visa.When applying for your student visa, one of the key requirements is to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support yourself throughout your studies. You will need to show proof of financial support of 460 EUR per month.

Pakistani students are not required to provide proof of English proficiency to study at an international university in Italy. This requirement ensures that you have the necessary skills to succeed academically and navigate life in Italy.

Pakistani students are also exempt from undergoing a medical test before arriving in Italy.

Additionally, Pakistani students do not need to open a Restricted Bank Account. This type of account limits monthly withdrawals and restricts access until you arrive in Italy.
